2015 Trillium Book Award Finalists Announced

The Ontario Media Development Corporation (OMDC) announced the finalists for the 2015 Trillium Book Awards, celebrating the quality and diversity to be found in Ontario writers and writing. Handed out since 1987, the Trillium Award gives out prizes to books in both French and English, for the best in Fiction, Poetry, and Children's Literature.

We'd like to congratulate our members who received nominations this year:

BookThug and Aisha Sasha John for Thou for the English Poetry Award

Brick Books and Deanna Young for House Dreams for the English Poetry Award

Coach House Books and Brecken Hancock for Broom Broom for the English Poetry Award

Pedlar Press and Kate Cayley for How You Were Born for English Fiction Award

There is a public reading scheduled for the nominees on June 16th at the Bram & Bluma Appel Salon at the Toronto Reference Library at 6:30 pm. The winners will be announced on June 17th by the Hon. Michael Coteau, Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Sport.
