Janine Alyson Young Nominated for the 2015 Danuta Gleed Award

The Writers' Union of Canada recently announced the shortlist for the 2015 Danuta Gleed Award. The Award honours the best first English-language collection of short stories published in the past year by a Canadian writer.

We'd like to congratulate LPG member Caitlin Press and their author Janine Alyson Young on the nomination of Hideout Hotel.

From Coastal BC and Yukon Territory to Western Australia, Hideout Hotel delivers disparate characters struggling with their own inadequacies, confined to these small towns that mirror their own limitations.

The winner will be announced on May 30th at the Writers' Union of Canada's OnWords conference. To learn more about the award and to view a full list of this year's nominations, please visit the Writers' Union website.
