Nominees for the 2016 Lambda Awards Revealed

The nominees for the 28th annual Lambda Literary Awards were revealed after the foundation received a record number of submissions this year. Since 1989, the Lammys, as they are also known, have celebrated achievement in lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) literature. This year's awards will be handed out to books published in 2015 across 25 different categories.

The LPG would like to congratulate our members and their authors who received nominations:

Arsenal Pulp Press received four nominations ~ Hasan Namir's God in Pink for the Gay Fiction prize; Sassafras Lowry's Lost Boi for the Transgender Fiction prize; Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha's Dirty River for the Lesbian Memoir/Biography prize; and Michael V. Smith's My Body is Yours for the Gay Memoir/Biography prize

Coach House Books ~ Ben Ladouceur's Otter for the Gay Poetry prize

Roseway Publishing ~ Arsham Parsi and Marc Colbourne's Exiled for Love: The Journey of an Iranian Queer Activist for the Gay Memoir/Biography prize

Vehicule Press ~ Andy Sinclair's Breathing Lessons for the Gay Fiction prize
